The Office of Strategic Development (OSD) works across the Lab to ensure it is leveraging and building on its distinct strengths as a national laboratory. The OSD provides strategic counsel and support in the following areas:
- the exploration and development of new program opportunitiesÂ
- the design and implementation of best-in-class research management practices and tools
- the development of cross-lab and external collaborations and key sponsor relationships
Key areas of focus include the management of the DOE Office of Science Early Career Research Program, the Research Opportunity Assessment and Development (ROAD) working group, and strategic planning for large-scale research initiatives.
