The Lab transitioned to remote work in March 2020 as the pandemic accelerated, and we settled into an uneasy new normal. For many of us, Zoom dominated our workdays, and we learned new techniques to work together when we were apart.
As people began to come back to the site for hands-on work, our normal was changed again, with a mix of onsite and offsite workers. Given how important team science is to our Lab’s culture and success, we continue to seek better ways for hybrid teams to work. Collaboration tools can help nurture the formal and informal relationships that are a critical foundation for team science.
