The Strategic Partnerships Office (SPO) catalyzes science and technology partnerships that enable the commercialization and deployment of innovations that address global challenges.
SPO provides leadership and expertise in research administration to the Berkeley Lab scientific community in support of all non-DOE proposals and awards along with a subset of strategic DOE R&D funding opportunities. SPO opens pathways and stewards collaborations by tapping into Berkeley Lab’s researchers, resources, and network to facilitate partnerships with industry, state and federal agencies, academic institutions, and community groups.
SPO offers researchers guidance and important information for initiating proposals and awards while ensuring compliance with the governing regulations and policies for our sponsors and stakeholders.
